Entrust
Fiduciary Services, Inc. (Entrust) is an Arizona corporation
founded
April 27, 2004 by Lisa M. Price
and Dawn
Walters. Entrust
was
founded in response to an overwhelming need in the Yuma community for a
private provider of
fiduciary services. The primary client base served by Entrust consists
of elder adults in Yuma
and surrounding
areas. Entrust works in close cooperation with community advocates for the elderly such as Adult Protective Services, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), and the AAA Ombudsman program. Entrust is a member of the Arizona Fiduciaries Association, the National Guardianship Association and the Better Business Bureau. Lisa Price is credentialed by the Arizona Supreme Court as a Certified Fiduciary in Private Practice and by the National Guardianship Association as a Registered Guardian. She serves as the firm’s Principal Fiduciary. Lisa has always been passionate about elder issues. She was raised in Yuma where she worked as a Certified Fiduciary in Private Practice for several years prior to co-founding Entrust. She has extensive experience in guardianship, conservatorship, probate matters, long term care, and geriatric issues. Upon obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University in 2000, Ms. Price relocated to Texas where she worked as a Certified Paralegal for a firm specializing in tax, corporate, and estate planning matters. Her accomplishments while in Texas include serving as a consultant to the Texas Guardianship Advisory Board and serving as the program monitor for the Texas Task Force on Indigent Defense, where she was responsible for ensuring compliance with $27 million in grants to Texas’ 254 counties. She has served on the board of the Arizona Fiduciaries Association since 2005 where she is currently serving as Vice President. Dawn Walters is credentialed by the Arizona Supreme Court as a Certified Fiduciary in Private Practice and by the National Guardianship Association as a Registered Guardian. Advocacy and community outreach have been lifelong pursuits, which made her a perfect fit as co-founder of Entrust, whose major focus is advocating for the rights and best interests of persons with diminished capacity. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has experience in public policy, legislative issues, and county affairs. Her career experience is diverse, encompassing both the private and the public sector, including work with a Fortune 500 company, an Internet startup, a United States congressman, and as a policy analyst and program administrator for an association of counties in the State of Texas. Ms. Price and Ms. Walters were honored to be invited as presenters at the First Annual Canadian Conference on Elder Law, sponsored in October 2005 by the prestigious Canadian Centre for Elder Law Studies. They are frequently invited to give presentations and training sessions to various local organizations on aging related topics such as end-of-life planning and issues related to elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. |
